(VOVworld)- Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam received Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdara in Hanoi on Tuesday. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Dam praised the close bilateral cooperation in culture, information and tourism. Dam urged the two countries to share experience in human resource training and modernizing mass information agencies. The same day, the Lao Minister discussed with VOV General Director Nguyen Dang Tien measures to expand bilateral cooperation. Mr. Tien said it is important for VOV and the Lao National Radio to effectively and closely cooperate in radio broadcasting in the context of rapid globalization. Minister Bosengkham Vongdara said:“The two Radio stations have increased exchanges and signed agreements to boost bilateral cooperation in radio broadcasting. We need to further our cooperation to improve the quality of our radio programs, exchange experiences in radio broadcastings to make radio an effective channel of the people”.

During their visit to Vietnam, the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism and its Vietnamese partner signed a plan to increase bilateral cooperation in information sharing. The Lao delegation also worked with Vietnam Television (VTV) to outline future cooperation plans.
