(VOVworld) – A seminar took place in Hanoi on Tuesday featuring decentralization in Vietnam and Laos and experiences for both National Assemblies.

The event is part of the official visit to Vietnam by a Lao National Assembly delegation led by Chairwoman Pany Yathotou.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Ms. Yathotou said decentralization is an issue of mutual concerns and the seminar offers an opportunity for the two NAs to share experiences and information, as well as discuss challenges to state administrative management in each nation.

Vietnamese NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said: “Joint seminars between Vietnam and Laos will form a regular mechanism that helps improve the efficiency of bilateral cooperation, especially in law making.”
