At a reception for Lao Deputy Prime Minister Bounthong Chithmany on Thursday, Mr. Phuc hailed Laos’ socio-economic achievements in recent years under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party. The Prime Minister said Vietnam is determined to implement the agreements reached by the Politburo of the two countries, including those on boosting investment and bilateral cooperation, especially in major transportation projects.
Mr. Phuc added that Vietnam continues to develop actively despite the fluctuating global situation. He said the two countries need to further exchange and share experience to successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels in their respective countries.
The Lao Deputy Prime Minister said the Lao government always creates favorable conditions to support Vietnamese businesses in Laos. The Lao Politburo has asked Lao localities to further foster trade and economic exchanges in the border area between Laos and Vietnam.
