(VOVworld) – Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hosted an official welcoming ceremony in Hanoi on Monday for Phankham Viphavanh, Politburo member, and Vice President of Laos and his entourage. Later, both leaders visited the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and laid wreaths at the monument of heroic martyrs.

Also on Monday, Mr. Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Vice President Thinh held talks with the Lao guests.

In another development, senior lieutenant general Luong Cuong, Member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee and Head of the General Politics Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, is making an official visit to Laos from July 11 to 14. The visit is aimed at strengthening the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the armies of Vietnam and Laos.
