Vietnam lose 0-1 to Saudi Arabia in World Cup qualifiers
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam fell to a 0-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia in their Group B match of the final round of the 2022 World Cup qualifier at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Saleh Al-Shehri scored the match’s only goal in the 31st minute.
With this defeat, Vietnam remained at the bottom of Group B after losing all six matches, while Saudi Arabia strengthened their top position with 16 points.
Vietnam’s coach Park Hang-seo said he is proud of Vietnam’s performance.
“The players have improved game after game. They have given their best in this match,” Park said after the match.
Saudi Arabia’s coach Hervé Renard admitted that his team had played quite a tough game.
“Saudi Arabia were struggling in the last 10 minutes as the opponent tried to seek an equalizer.”
