(VOVworld)- The Vietnam-Malaysia Senior Officials’ Strategic Dialogue took place in Hanoi on Monday, Assistant to the Foreign Minister, Vu Quang Minh, and Deputy Secretary of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry, Dato Muhammad Sharulkram Yaakob, co-chaired the event. The two sides discussed ways to boost the strategic partnership in the future and increase delegation exchanges. The two sides will organize the 5^th session of the Vietnam-Malaysia Committee for Bilateral Cooperation in Economics, Science and Technology in 2016. They aim to increase two-way trade to 15 billion USD by 2020. Both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening unity within ASEAN and maintaining its central role. They highlighted the importance of ensuring peace, stability, security and safety of navigation and aviation in the East Sea and addressing disputes in line with international law.
