Head of the Vietnamese mission in Geneva, Ambassador Duong Chi Dung, reviewed Vietnam’s achievements last year including 6.81% GDP growth, a record 60 billion USD in foreign reserves, and a stable monetary market. Vietnam’s status in the international arena has improved, reflected by the success of APEC Year 2017, he added.
Ambassador Dung praised the efforts of Vietnamese expats in Switzerland, the Vietnamese mission in Geneva, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Berne to improve relations between Vietnam and Switzerland and the UN. He said he hopes the local Vietnamese will remain united and contribute to Vietnam’s development.
