Madam Ngan said Vietnam encourages both countries’ law enforcement agencies to curb plots that use one country to sabotage the other. She called for an early establishment of a defense policy dialogue mechanism at deputy ministerial level. Chairwoman Ngan asked Myanmar to continue sharing Vietnam’s views in promoting peace, security, stability, freedom of navigation and overflight and unimpeded trade in the region. She said this applied particularly in the East Sea and included supporting the full implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and the early signing of a Code of Conduct.
