(VOVWORLD) - An outfit named "Rising dragon" worn by Vietnamese beauty Le Hoang Phuong has been voted the best national costumes at the Miss Grand International (MGI) 2023 pageant, which is getting underway in Vietnam.

Created by designer Nguyen Le Vinh Tuong, the costume is an Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) bearing an image of a dragon, with a primary color of red. The ao dai represents national pride and solidarity of Vietnamese people, while representing the resilience of Vietnamese women.
On local and international beauty pageants forums, the national costume performance by the Vietnamese representative received positive feedback from the community.
MGI 2023 organisers recently announced the Top 20 of the best national costume sub-contest, including the Top 10 by judges and Top 10 for votes among fans on social media.
