Vietnam, Oman exempt visa for holders of diplomatic, special or official passports
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Oman on Friday signed an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, special, or official passports. Signatories were Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Hieu on behalf of the Government of Vietnam and Ambassador of Oman in Hanoi, Saleh Mohamed Ahmed Al Sagri, on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Oman.

After the agreement comes into force, Vietnamese and Omani citizens holding diplomatic, special or official passports with a validity of at least six months will be exempted from visa upon entry, stay, transit and exit within 90 days from the date of entry.
Citizens who want to stay in the other party's territory for more than 90 days must carry out the necessary procedures to request the competent authority of the other party to issue a visa within 90 days from the date of entry.
The signing of the agreement is expected to contribute the development of the two countries' relations, creating favorable conditions for the exchange of delegations, and promoting economic, trade and tourism relations between Vietnam and Oman.
