At Wednesday’s conference in Hanoi to review the diplomatic sector’s performance over the past six months and set directions for the remainder of the year, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son called on the sector to implement the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress and help the Ministry of Foreign Affairs make relations with neighboring countries, major partners, and traditional friends deeper, more stable, and more sustainable.
He asked the sector to carry out economic diplomacy in line with resolutely protecting Vietnam’s sovereignty and legitimate interests, boosting multilateral diplomacy, protecting overseas Vietnamese, promoting cultural diplomacy, applying new communication methods to external information, and promoting digital transformation.
