Vietnam pledges favorable conditions for Japanese businesses
(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang on Tuesday received the Governor of Japan’s Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Hiroshi Watanabe who is on a working visit to Vietnam. He praised the aim of the visit, which is to deepen cooperation between the two states, particularly in implementing the roadmap to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP). President Truong Tan Sang said Vietnam would continue to create favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to invest in Vietnam and hoped that more Japanese businesses would come to Vietnam thanks to the country’s new policies and investment promotions.
Governor Hiroshi Watanabe said Japanese businesses hailed Vietnam’s investment environment and its political trust. He added that Japan would sign a credit agreement with Vietnam in the building of the Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant. The two countries will discuss cooperation on the building of a number of thermal power plants in Nghi Son, Vung Ang and Van Phong.
