Vietnam prepares itself for natural disasters
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC) held a pre-disaster meeting on Wednesday in Hanoi to renew its preparedness for natural disasters.

The meeting discussed mobilizing resources, implementing preventive measures, and working toward a safer community. VRC vice president Tran Thi Hong An said Vietnam has been frequently affected by climate change and natural disasters. Hundreds of people die or go missing each year and 1-1.5% of GDP is lost due to disasters.
