International reporters covering the event will be presented with gifts like Dong Ho paintings, conical hats, and lotus tea at various booths in the International Media Center.
Hanoitourist and Saigontourist have designed nine free tours of Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, and Ninh Binh to show international journalists the culture and scenery of Vietnam through Duong Lam Village, Hanoi’s craft villages, and the Trang An Complex.
Phung Quang Thang, Hanoitourist’s Director, said: “We chose the Fine Arts Museum for a tour to discover Vietnam’s treasures. There tourists will be involved in a small game that encourages interaction with the museum. A second tour explores the most typical cultural features of Hanoi by visiting small alleys and families who still maintain the traditions of the original Hanoians. The guests will be given antique cameras to take photos of what they see. A third tour will take foreign reporters to down town Hanoi to enjoy a Vietnamese coffee.”
Vietnam’s National Tourism Administration says it will organize a series of tourism promotion activities in the US, Russia, the Republic of Korea, and Japan after the summit concludes to attract more tourists and promote Vietnam’s image.
