Vietnam pursues foreign policy of independence, being good friend, reliable partner of countries
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has re-affirmed Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, being a good friend and a reliable partner of countries, being an active and responsible member of the international community, and actively contributing to common efforts towards a better future.

Prime Minister Chinh and his wife hosted a banquet in honor of the diplomatic corps in Hanoi on Monday, ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival. PM Chinh said that in 2023, peace, cooperation, and development will still be the main trend and also aspiration of each country.

He expressed his hope that the ambassadors, chargés d’affaires, and chief representatives of international organizations in Vietnam will continue helping intensify Vietnam’s relations with their countries.

On behalf of the diplomatic corps, Palestinian Ambassador Saadi Salama said he believes Vietnam will have an important voice in further promoting the compliance with international law, the maintenance of global peace and stability, cooperation among countries, multilateralism, and settlement of common challenges.
