Vietnam, Qatar boost cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Qatar has affirmed its support for Vietnam in enhancing cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council, while Vietnam said it’s ready to act as a bridge connecting Qatar with ASEAN.

These statements were released at working sessions in Doha between Qatari ministers and Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang while she was attending the 5th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), which concluded on Wednesday.
At the meetings, the two sides discussed specific measures to further improve cooperation, including enhancing the exchange of delegations at all levels, and mutual support at regional and global forums.

Regarding economic, trade and investment cooperation, the two agreed to soon hold the third meeting of their joint committee on cooperation in economy, trade, and technology; strengthen trade, investment, and tourism promotion activities; share information on investment opportunities and projects of mutual interest; facilitate trade; and increase commercial flights between the two countries.
