While Vietnam’s agricultural exports to China have been on a downward trend,  the US, Europe, Japan, and South Korea remained major markets for Vietnamese agricultural exports. Andreas Krey, chairman of the Board of Management of the State Development Corporation of Thuringia, said consumers in Germany and the world at large are especially interested in Vietnam’s agricultural exports and processed food. Many opportunities await Vietnamese businesses if they can satisfy international requirements in terms of food safety and hygiene, quality, and packaging, said Mr. Krey.
