Vietnam ranks second at International Chemistry Olympiad 2024
(VOVWORLD) -Four Vietnamese students won three golds and one silver at the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO) held this week in Saudi Arabia, said the Ministry of Education and Training on Tuesday.

Their results made team Vietnam rank second together with the United States out of the 89 participating countries and territories. China topped the medal table.
The gold medals went to Nguyen Huu Tien Hung from Bac Ninh High School for Gifted Students in the northern province of Bac Ninh, Giap Vu Son Ha from High School for Gifted Students in the northern province of Bac Giang, and Tran Dang Khoi from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted in Hanoi.
Do Phu Quoc from Le Thanh Tong High School for Gifted Students in central Quang Nam province bagged a silver medal.
The International Chemistry Olympiad was first held in 1968. This year taking place from July 21 to 30, the event has drawn 327 contestants worldwide.
