(VOVWORLD) - At the 5th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries in Doha, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang shared Vietnam's experience in rapid and sustainable socio-economic development by combining internal resources and external forces, integrating internationally, and putting people at the center, considering it the driving force and the goal of development.

At the LDC5 conference, themed “From Potential to Prosperity”, Hang said Vietnam is ready to act as a bridge between development partners and LDC members, especially through South-South and tripartite cooperation.
Hang advised countries to improve their internal capacity and national competitiveness based on the strengths and characteristics of each LDC state. She underscored the need to further strengthen market access for LDCs.
Vietnam calls on developed countries to transfer technology, improve capacity, and financially support LDCs in green transition and carbon emission reduction, Hang said, adding that peace, international cooperation, and partnership should be expanded to address global challenges.
Within the framework of the conference, Hang met with leaders of Cuba, India, Benin, Uganda, Eswatini, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, the World Bank, and UNESCO.
The LDC5 conference adopted a statement affirming its strong commitment to implementing the Doha Action Agenda, which includes six priority pillars.
They are investing in people with the motto "leave no one behind"; promoting science, technology and innovation for sustainable development; making economic restructuring a driver for growth and prosperity; enhancing international trade and regional integration of LDCs; responding to climate change and increasing resilience to shocks; and strengthening global partnerships.
