Vietnam ready to contribute to UN humanitarian relief for Ukraine
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam supports humanitarian efforts of the UN Secretary General, UN agencies, regional countries and international partners and is willing to contribute to UN humanitarian relief activities for Ukraine if conditions and capabilities allow, said the Vietnamese Ambassador to the UN.

At the UN General Assembly’s 11th Emergency Session on Ukraine situation on Wednesday, Dang Hoang Giang, Head of Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the UN, reaffirmed Vietnam's consistent stance on settling international disputes by peaceful means on the basis of respect for international law, the UN Charter, especially the principle of respecting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, non-interference in internal affairs, and non-use of force in international relations.
Regarding the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, the Ambassador emphasized that the current urgent priority should focus on ending hostilities, protecting civilians and essential civilian infrastructure, humanitarian operations and the evacuation of citizens.
He said that dialogues and negotiations between relevant parties should be carried out to find a peaceful solution on the basis of international law and the UN Charter, taking into account the interests and concerns of relevant parties.
