Vietnam records 8,497 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said that from 4 p.m. on Friday to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 8,497 new infections were recorded in Vietnam. 16 cases were imported and 8,481 cases were recorded domestically, down 495 cases compared to the previous day.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Vietnam’s caseload has hit 1,018,376 infections, ranking 37 out of 223 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranked 151 out of 223 countries and territories (on average 10,336 cases per 1 million people).
In the past 24 hours, 1,834 patients recovered; 88 others died.
