Vietnam records 8,776 cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours
(VOVWORLD) - In the past 24 hours, Vietnam’s COVID-19 caseload was 8,776. Ho Chi Minh City had the most cases: 3,416; Hanoi had 40 cases.

From 6:00 am to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, Vietnam added 3,964 COVID-19 cases, including 4 imported cases and 3,960 domestic cases in 26 provinces and cities.
Also on Wednesday, 4,806 more patients were announced to be cured, 342 patients died.
As of Wednesday, Vietnam reported a total of 236,901 COVID-19 cases. 85,154 were cured.
Hanoi has conducted massive COVID-19 testing for high-risk people in an effort to quickly stamp out the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and return to a “new normal.” The city targets to collect about 1.3 million samples for quick tests and RT-PCR tests from August 9-17.
