The country enjoyed a trade surplus of 19 billion USD and attracted 11.4 million foreign visitors in the past 8 months. The number of international arrivals rose 45.8% from the same period last year and up 1% from the same period in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out.
"The traditional driving forces of the economy are still effective. New drivers such as digital transformation, green and energy transition, and the circular economy will create stronger demand and boost economic growth," said Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thuong Lang, a lecturer at the National Economics University.
In the reviewed period, CPI was up 4% while foreign direct investment continued to increase.
