(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) has raised more than 430,000 USD to support quake-hit people in Turkey and Syria.
The Turkish Embassy in Vietnam thanked the Vietnamese Government, people and the Red Cross for providing invaluable and timely support for Turkey.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake, which occurred on February 6 has killed more than 46,000 people and destroyed thousands of buildings.
The Red Cross Society’s fundraising campaign will last through the end of May.
