Vietnam reports 1 new case of COVID-19, 8 patients declared cured
(VOVWORLD) - One new case of COVID-19 detected late Wednesday has brought the national tally to 1,521, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Patient 1521, a female of Vietnamese nationality, entered Vietnam via Moc Bai International Border Gate on January 8 and was quarantined immediately after her entry in Tay Ninh province.
A report of the Treatment Sub-committee said eight other patients were declared cured on Wednesday.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Vietnam recorded a total of 1,521 cases of COVID-19, of whom 1,369 patients were cured. There were 35 deaths.
