Vietnam reports 7 new cases of COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - On Wednesday afternoon, Vietnam reported 7 news cases of COVID-19, including 5 cases in Hai Duong, the country’s pandemic hotspot, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

All the new infections in Hai Duong had direct contacts with COVID-19 patients who had been quarantined earlier.
The 2 remaining cases are imported cases in the southern province of Kien Giang which were immediately put into isolation upon entry.
Vietnam has so far recorded a total of 1,566 locally-transmitted cases of COVID-19. 10 provinces and cities have not recorded new cases in the community in the past 18 days.
Of the total infections of 2,482, 1,898 patients have been cured. 35 patients died.
