(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 cases in the past 12 hours to 6am on Sunday, keeping the total number of infections in the country at 2,692, 1,570 of them are domestically transmitted, said the Ministry of Health.

According to the Treatment Subcommittee under the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, 2,429 patients have been successfully cured, while the death toll related to the disease remained at 35.
Ten provinces and cities - Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Binh Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Gia Lai, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City - have gone through 57 consecutive days without new locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases while Hanoi has passed 54 days, and Hai Phong, 47 days.
As of Saturday, more than 58,000 people in 19 provinces and cities, including medical workers, members of community-based anti-COVID-19 groups, and members of the steering committees for COVID-19 prevention and control in localities, have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
