Vietnam reports over 169,000 cases of COVID-19 on Friday
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 169,114 new cases of COVID-19 in 61 provinces and cities on Friday, said the Ministry of Health. During the day, more than 74,000 COVID-19 patients recovered, 71 died.
62 out of 63 provinces and cities have reported a second dose vaccination rate of over 90% among people aged 18 or older. 17 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to children aged 12-17. 57 out of 63 provinces and cities have reached a second dose vaccination rate of over 90% for children aged 12-17.
The Ministry of Health is accelerating preparations to vaccinate children aged 5-11.
