Vietnam, RoK agree to boost substantive Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Han Duck-soo said that the Korean government attaches great importance to its relationships with Vietnam, and considers Vietnam a key partner in implementing its foreign policy in the region.

The Prime Minister was speaking while welcoming Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son in Seoul on Friday.
He said Minister Son’s official visit will lay an important foundation for the development of the two countries’ Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Mr. Son said that the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to closely collaborate with relevant agencies of both countries to promote a strong, substantive, and comprehensive development of a bilateral relationship.
During talks the same day, Minister Son and his Korean counterpart Cho Tae-yeol agreed on the need to raise bilateral trade to 100 billion USD by 2025 and deepen cooperation in labor, tourism, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
The top diplomats agreed to continue supporting the resolution of disputes in the East Sea (internationally known as the South China Sea) through peaceful means, and in accordance with international law.
