(VOVworld)-A ceremony was held in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK) on Wednesday to mark the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic relations, opening a series of events year to celebrate the bilateral ties.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Pham Huu Chi said the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations in 1992 opened a new chapter in the relationship.
Mr. Chi said he believes Vietnam will do all it can to develop its partnership with the RoK.
RoK Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Jeong-gyu praised the bilateral ties over the past quarter century, with beneficial people-to-people exchanges and a rising number of Vietnamese people interested in the language and culture of the RoK. Vietnam has become one of the most attractive destinations for RoK investors, he said.
Mr. Lee noted that the celebration was an opportunity to seek ways to further strengthen the relationship.
