Vietnam seeks closer cooperation with US to strengthen ties
(VOVWORLD) - At a press briefing in Hanoi on Thursday, Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Doan Khac Viet, addressed questions regarding the upcoming US presidential election, affirming Vietnam’s commitment to closer collaboration with the US to advance bilateral relations.

Viet said: "Vietnam looks forward to working closely with the US administration in the future to strengthen the Vietnam-US comprehensive strategic partnership in a robust, comprehensive, stable, and enduring way, for the benefit and aspirations of both nations' people."
"After nearly three decades diplomatic relations have developed in a strong, deep, practical and effective manner, culminating in the elevation of ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2023. Both countries are now coordinating closely to implement key cooperation goals over the next decade and beyond, as outlined in the Joint Statement on elevating Vietnam-US relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development,” Viet added
