Vietnam seeks stronger economic ties with Poland
(VOVWORLD) - The traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Poland is growing strong, with Poland being Vietnam’s largest trade partner in East-Central Europe, while Vietnam is Poland’s 7th largest trade partner outside the European Union.

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh made the remark at a seminar on bilateral economic cooperation held at Poland’s Senate on Friday.
As the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement will soon be signed, Mr. Binh urged businesses of both countries to stand ready with their investment plans in areas of mutual concern. He affirmed that the Vietnamese government encourages Vietnamese businesses to invest in Poland, in consumer goods and IT sectors, to further approach the EU markets.
He briefed the delegates on Vietnam’s economic development with a growth rate of 6.81% in 2017, the highest recorded rate ever over the 2011-2017 period. He also introduced Vietnam’s investment environment, its economic potentials and scale, as well as the government’s resolutions to boost global integration and reform to soon adapt to the new context of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
On this occasion, Deputy PM Binh visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Poland.
