Vietnam set to catch up with 4th Industrial Revolution
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is determined to catch up with the 4th Industrial Revolution, but it is currently one of the countries least prepared for it, according to the World Economic Forum.
Of the 100 surveyed countries, Vietnam ranks 70th in human capital, 81th in highly-skilled workers, and 75th in quality of universities. To benefit from the new technological trend, Vietnam needs to improve its human resources, and vocational training for workers should be a top priority as Nguyen Dinh Thang, deputy director of the Vietnam Computing Association put it: “There are two ways of training. The first is the traditional training system from secondary school to university. The second is fast training, in which one specialist trains several others. Fast training produces new human sources to help the government, and businesses enter Industrial Revolution 4.0.”
