The announcement was made at a conference of the Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association in Hanoi on Monday.
In recent years, Vietnam’s timber industry has made exceptional strides, making Vietnam Asia’s 2nd largest exporter of wood after China. This year, Vietnam’s export of timber and forest products is expected to reach 11 billion USD. Vietnam now has 5,400 timber enterprises, generating more than 500,000 jobs.
