(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs on Tuesday ordered enterprises which send workers abroad to strictly follow preventive measures against Ebola virus.

So far, no Ebola case has been reported in Vietnam

These enterprises were asked to test workers sent to Africa, particularly Ebola-hit regions, and report the results to the Department for Overseas Labor Management by this week. They were tasked with teaching precautions to workers in Ebola-struck areas and stop sending laborers there. Suspected Ebola patients must notify their employers, local Vietnamese diplomatic offices, and health agencies for prompt quarantine and treatment.      

On Tuesday the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced a plan to prevent virus transmission by tourists, to promptly detect and treat Ebola-infected visitors, and enhance links with central and local health agencies to ensure the safety of tourists and tourism workers.

In another development, the Ministry of Health on Tuesday trained medical staff in the North in measures for the prevention, quarantine and treatment of Ebola infected cases. These include the diagnosis and treatment of Ebola, identifying epidemiological characteristics and the prevention of bacterial contamination at hospitals.

So far, no Ebola case has been reported in Vietnam. Similar training courses will also be held in the South on Thursday.
