Vietnam strengthens COVID-19 prevention measures

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded four new COVID-19 cases from 6pm of Friday to 6pm of Saturday, all Vietnamese and imported, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control. The new cases including 3 in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Da Nang were quarantined upon their arrival, the committee added.

Hanoi authorities on Saturday recorded two coronavirus-positive patients, including a man who again tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 after being discharged from hospital in Dong Da district, and a diplomat entering Vietnam and under stay-at-home quarantine in Bac Tu Liem district. The two cases are now under treatment at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases No 2. Those who have direct and indirect contact with the patients have been quarantined and tested.

The People’s Committee of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh province has imposed a temporary lockdown on a hotel where 2 Chinese guests have been allegedly reported enteriing Vietnam illegally and violated COVID-19 prevention rules. The Municipal Health Care Center has conducted coronavirus tests on the two Chinese guests.
