Vietnam strongly condemns terrorist attacks in any form
(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday sent messages of condolences to Spanish King Felipe VI and Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy over Thursday's terrorist attack in Barcelona which killed and injured many people.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh extended his condolence to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain Alfonso Dartis.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said: “Vietnam extends its deepest condolence to the State, government, and people of Spain, as well as the families of the victims in the terrorist attack on Thursday. Vietnam strongly condemns the act of terrorism in any form and holds that those acts must be strictly punished in accordance with law."
Responding to a reporter's query if any Vietnamese citizen is among the victims, Ms. Hang said: “On Friday, the Vietnamese embassy in Spain cited local information as saying that there has been no report about any victim identified as Vietnamese citizen. The embassy is closely watching developments to take protective measures in case a Vietnamese citizen is confirmed victim of the attack”.
