(VOVworld) - The UN Council on Human Rights conducted dialogue sessions on ensuring and promoting human rights in Myanmar, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Iran. Head of the Vietnamese delegation Ambassador Nguyen Trung Thanh said the international community should continue to cooperate with Myanmar on the basis of respecting Myanmar’s national sovereignty. Constructive dialogues help to consolidate Myanmar’s achievements in promoting democracy and citizens’ rights especially for disadvantaged groups. Vietnam trusts Myanmar’s steps toward peace, security, and prosperity. Vietnam is ready to help Myanmar improve its living standard and human rights by sharing experience in national re-construction, socio-economic development, and international integration. The same day, the UN Council on Human Rights also conducted sessions on Iran and the DPRK. These human rights sessions will conclude on March 28.
