Deputy PM Quang said Vietnam backs multilateralism and the UN’s central role in coordinating global efforts to meet shared challenges. Quang urged all sides to step up their cooperation.

Gutteres said the UN will continue its efforts to promote good relations with Vietnam.

At the meeting with Ireland’s Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense Micheál Martin, Quang urged the two countries to increase all-level delegation exchanges and asked the Irish government to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods to enter Ireland.

Martin said the Irish government wants closer cooperation with Vietnam, especially in economy and trade. Ireland will continue to strengthen bilateral collaboration and provide mutual support at multilateral forums, including the UNHRC.

At the meeting with Foreign Minister of Venezuela Yvan Gil Pinto, Quang suggested the two countries step up exchanges of delegations at all levels, maintain bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and promote political trust.

Meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Anniken Huitfeldt, Quang said the two countries should consider establishing a joint economic and trade committee, urging Norway, as the coordinator of negotiations between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), to accelerate those talks.

In addition to trade and investment, the two countries should expand their collaboration in other spheres, including clean energy, renewable energy, and sustainable maritime economy.
