At Wednesday’s reception in Hanoi for Dominique Paravicini, visiting State Secretary of the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education, and Research, the Deputy Prime Minister proposed the two sides work closely and effectively implement the Switzerland-Vietnam Development Cooperation Program for the 2021‑2024 period.
He said priorities should be given to enhancing competitiveness of the private economic sector, developing a knowledge-based economy, and responding to new challenges for development and climate change.
Vietnam hopes to continue to receive Switzerland’s support for Vietnam’s sustainable development, especially in improving the competitiveness of the private economic sector and increasing scholarships for Vietnamese students, said Mr. Khai.
Mr. Paravicini highlighted that Swiss businesses are highly optimistic about Vietnam’s potential, expressing his belief that more Swiss firms will come to Vietnam for investment.
