Speaking at the 64th session of UNCTAD’s Trade and Development Committee, Hue informed delegations about Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements in 30 years of renewal. He said that UNCTAD and other UN mechanisms need to be more efficient and provide support for developing countries.

On the occasion, Mr. Hue and Mr. Kituyi witnessed the signing of cooperative agreements between the Vietnam’s Finance Ministry and several international organizations in Geneva.

During a joint working session with leaders of 10 international organizations based in Geneva, Hue said multilateral diplomacy is one of the pillars of Vietnam’s foreign policy. He expressed a wish that international organizations will continue partnering with Vietnam for its national construction and defense.

The same day, Hue held a working session with Executive Director of the World Economic Forum Philipp Rosler and attended a ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of Vietnam’s entry to the United Nations.
