Vietnam to achieve 2019’s set targets
(VOVWORLD) - Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung has said Vietnam has sufficient conditions to realize economic targets set for 2019.

Speaking at the government press conference in Hanoi on Friday, Mr. Dung said though the economic growth is currently affected by slow disbursement and African swine fever, growth indicators including those concerning agriculture have been positive. Mr. Dung said: “Trade activities have been bustling with services and consumption increasing 11.6% and currency and forex being stable. Vietnam has attracted increasing FDI with newly registered and expanded projects totaling 16 billion USD. The export grew 6.7%. Domestic enterprises have higher export growth than foreign ones. Vietnam has implemented incentives to develop the private sector and expand cooperation with foreign enterprises to create favorable conditions for development.”
The government urges ministries, sectors and localities to improve administrative procedures, increase public investment disbursement, and create mechanisms to boost the private sector in order to achieve the targets set for 2019.
