(VOVworld) – General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Van Tuan said the exemption on visa requirements for tourists from Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain will expire on July 1.
At a conference on Vietnam’s tourism in the first quarter of this year, Tuan said VNAT has been reviewing the work and has proposed an extension. VNAT has also ratified a project proposing the exemption of visa requirements for foreign tourists from 13 countries who book package tours to Vietnam through Vietnamese travel companies. By April, Vietnam had received 2.4 million foreign tourists, up 20% on last year.
