Vietnam to master vaccine production technology by 2025
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has approved the national science and technology program on research and production of vaccines for human use by 2030.
The program aims to improve the capacity of Vietnamese vaccine researchers and producers in producing vaccines for human use in order to make Vietnam stand ready in dealing any pandemics arisen. Under the program, Vietnam is expected to have 100% of its domestic vaccines meeting international standards and gradually help made-in Vietnam vaccines penetrate international markets.
By 2025, Vietnam is expected to master the technologies of producing 10 different vaccines and be able to produce at least 3 types of vaccines. By 2030, Vietnam expects to master the technologies of producing 15 types of vaccines and be able to produce at least 5 types of vaccines.
