Vietnam to secure 1.5 million blood units for emergency and treatment in 2022
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam strives to secure 1 million 480 thousand blood units with 99% being voluntary blood donors in 2022, according to the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation.
A large number of public employees, workers, and students in Lang Son province volunteer to donate blood at the 2022 Red Spring Festival on January 8.

The Steering Committee said that it will work with the Vietnam Red Cross Society at all levels to make plans and coordinate with blood-receiving establishments to agree on a schedule for blood donation and regular blood-receiving throughout the year. First of all, the national program "Red Spring Festival" should be well implemented.
Vice President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Tran Quoc Hung said: "To mobilize voluntary blood donation in the new year, the Vietnam Red Cross Society has directed the provinces and cities to prepare for the Red Spring Festival and voluntary blood donation to ensure the quantity and quality of donated blood to treat patients during this lunar new year festival."
