Vietnam to tighten regional links
(VOVWORLD) - According to the political report of the ongoing 13th National Party Congress in Hanoi, tightening regional links is necessary to develop Vietnam’s economic hubs.

Delegates said provincial authorities should adopt a new mindset for local socio-economic development.
Pham Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee, said, “Ninh Thuan province has asserted itself as a renewable energy center of Vietnam, thanks to sound policies issued by the Party and the National Assembly. We hope that Resolution 55 on national energy development orientations will tighten regional links, which will increase Vietnam’s competitiveness.”
Marine economic development in particular will benefit strong connections between localities. Collaboration will improve efficiency.
Delegate Nguyen Hong Linh of Ha Tinh province said, “Documents of the 13th National Party Congress define 12 solutions for socio-economic development in the next five years. For Ha Tinh province, Vung Ang is designated as the prime engine for local development. We are working to finalize our provincial planning to be submitted to the Prime Minister and also our economic zone planning, under which Vung Ang will focus on steel production, electricity, logistics, and a deep sea port.”
