(VOVworld) – Vietnam is striving to train 5.5 million rural workers by 2020, 80% of whom will either be given new jobs or earn higher incomes. Duong Duc Lan, Director of the Vocational Training Department, said: “Rural workers now account for 47% of the workforce and most of them are untrained. They should be trained to increase productivity in agriculture, industry, and services.”
Vietnam trained more than 4 million rural workers over the last 5 years.
