(VOVworld) – Cambodia welcomed 2.36 million foreign tourists in the first half of 2016, an increase of 2.6 percent against last year, according to the Voice of Vietnam correspondent in Cambodia.

Vietnam ranked first among 10 countries with the largest number of tourists to Cambodia with nearly 426,000 visitors, followed by China with 379,000 and South Korea with 193,000. The rise is attributable to convenient transportation and geographical proximity between Vietnam and Cambodia.
