Vietnam, UK foster strategic partnership

(VOVWORLD) - President Vo Van Thuong and his entourage arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday, concluding their trip to London to attend the coronation of King Charles III at the invitation of the Royal Family of the UK.

British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew said this is the first coronation in the UK in 70 years and President Vo Van Thuong and other State leaders attending the event is of great importance. 

Mark Kent, President of the Vietnam-UK Friendship Network said President Vo Van Thuong's trip reflected the specially close friendship between Vietnam and the UK. As the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, the success of Mr. Thuong's visit would help deepen bilateral cooperation. 
Nittin Kapoor, Director General of AstraZeneca Vietnam, said he was delighted with the long-term cooperation with Vietnam and wanted to further strengthen cooperation with the Health Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other ministries and agencies of Vietnam. 
Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Hoang Long said President Vo Van Thuong's trip to the UK is the most important event among activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam-UK diplomatic ties and it created a new momentum for the stronger strategic partnership between the two countries.
