(VOVworld) – The International Support Group for Vietnam’s agriculture and rural development convened in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss opportunities and challenges for agricultural processing.

The meeting is an opportunity for Vietnam to inform its donors, international organizations, and businesses of Vietnam’s development orientations, priorities, and investment in agricultural processing. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat called on businesses to invest more in fragments of the added-value chain of agricultural products. He said that the Vietnamese government is committed to supporting businesses with breakthrough policies and a favorable investment environment: “Domestic and foreign private businesses are encouraged to invest in agriculture. We are reviewing policies toward improving the investment environment in agriculture.”
